Belkin introduces the industry’s first Notebook Expansion Dock

Belkin introduces the industry’s first Notebook Expansion Dock featuring ExpressCard™ technology to deliver high-performance capabilities for multimedia applications.

You will have to sacrifice your ExpressCard port by hooking up the Expansion Dock to it, but what you get in return is quadruple your available bandwidth, enabling you to play DVDs without detrimental bandwidth performance to other USB 2.0 devices.

The Dock was designed with the smallest footprint possible, coming in a unique vertical design.

Performance figures include connecting at 2Gbps which is capable of video reproduction at 1600 x 1200 resolution in 32-bit color.

The $199.99 Notebook Expansion Dock will ship in U.S. this November, with the rest of the world receiving it shortly thereafter.
