Gears of War Xbox 360 game to be launched in November

Gears of War, the highly-anticipated shooter for Xbox 360, will be released in the UK on 17 November and in will be available in North America on November 12, 2006

Microsoft hopes the exclusive title will drive sales of Xbox 360 and is released on the same day the PlayStation 3 is available in the UK.

"It will deliver a one-two punch of cinematic action," promised lead designer Cliff Bleszinski.

The battle for next generation supremacy begins later this year with Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft competing.
