Hitachi recalls 16.000 Sony laptop batteries

Hitachi Ltd said Friday it will recall about 16,000 lithium-ion battery packs made by Sony for its laptop personal computers in connection with possible overheating problems.
The company said the battery packs were installed in its personal computers for the Japanese market.
It is not yet known if Hitachi laptops sold in the US and EU are affected
