Thieves hijacked a truck full of Xbox 360 consoles worth about 750,000 pounds ($1.4 million) after it left a depot in Staffordshire, England.

Xbox 360 console retails for around 200 to 300 pounds ($386 to $579) and is top pick on Christmas lists this year, reported The Times of London.

There was also a separate robbery at the same depot, operated by Hellmann Worldwide Logistics, a week ago when another trailer of Xbox 360s worth 260,000 pounds ($502,000) was stolen.

Staffordshire police are appealing for witnesses to the hijackings.

The thieves, who were believed to be driving a Range Rover and Rover saloon, indicated to the truck driver to slow down. He did so believing that they were informing him of something stuck under his wheels. Once he stopped he was attacked by three men, reported The Times.

The truck driver was taken to the hospital but was not hurt seriously.
