3:10 To Yuma (2007) Movie Review
Guys, what an amazing movie!!! 3:10 To Yuma is a remake of the 1957 western movie with Christian Bale and Russell Crowe.
Both are flawless in this movie and portray the characters with great style. (Christian Bale has played fantastic characters such as Bruce Wayne in The Dark Knight, the infamous Patrick Bateman in American Psycho and his mesmerizing transformation into Trevor Reznik in The Machinist. His abilities as an actor are a million miles ahead of most actors and I think once you’ve seen American Psycho and The Machinist, you too will be hooked!)
Dan Evans (Christian Bale) is a civil war veteran and a poor rancher who is forced to accept a dangerous job because his family are struggling to survive on their drought-plagued ranch.
He puts himself forward to escort a badass cowboy Ben Wade (Russell Crowe) to a railway town where he is supposed to make sure Wade boards the train to Yuma prison. Evans is aided by his son William Evans (Logan Lerman) – Lerman is excellent in this movie and should be credited along side Bale and Crowe.
As you can imagine not everything goes to plan because Ben’s vicious gang is there to stop his transfer at all costs.
What can I say: Brilliant directing from James Mangold who also directed Walk The Line, great acting all around and a very good story line.
3:10 To Yuma – 122 minutes of pure entertainment - highly recommended.
