Hancock (2008) Movie Review
Had high aspirations for this movie - it has Will Smith in it (who never fails to impress me) and a great story line - a drunk crazy superhero who throws beached whales back into the sea by grabbing its tail and flinging it back into the ocean but not without taking a sailing boat out with it :) So funny :)
Will Smith plays John Hancock - a troubled superhero who likes to drink a little too much and doesn't realise that along with saving people, he also reeks havok and disaster whatever he touches.
He saves Ray Embrey (Jason Bateman) a PR guy who see's potential in John Hancock and decides to try and change his life. He takes him back to his house where he meets Ray Embrey's (Bateman's) beautiful wife Mary Embrey (Charlize Theron). And there in lies the part of the movie that I thought wasn't so great.
I won't spoil the movie for those who haven't seen it yet and you may not agree with me, but the ending was a little rubbish and as if they struggled to write an ending. The first half of the movie was great though :) "good job" :)
I say watch Hancock if you haven't already as its a 7 out of 10 kinda movie.
