The Objet Alaris 30 is a compact desktop 3D printer that uses a peripheral with PolyJet Photopolymer Jetting that produces 600 x 600 dpi objects up to 11.5 x 7.7 x 5.9 inches in size. According to the company, the Alaris 30 Desktop 3D Printer offers 36 hours of unattended printing from your 3D CAD files.

Based on Objet’s proven PolyJet™ Photopolymer Jetting Technology, the Alaris30 creates true-to-life parts of any kind with superb accuracy. It can build models simply, cost effectively and precisely as you design them.

Models produced on the Alaris30 are smoothly surfaced and finely detailed; the strong model material and highly accurate printing enable thin walls and small moving parts. The models are ideal for painting, functional, fit and form testing, and vacuum forming.

HP B8550 Photo Printer Preview

The B8550 color printer boasts a five-ink system with an extra large feed tray and printing area as large as 13 inch x 19 inch.

Other features include a 2.4 inch LCD display, USB and multi-format memory card reader, 33ppm (black) and 31ppm (color) printing, a maximum print resolution of 1,200 x 1,200 and a 128MB internal memory.

The B8550 printer will produce 33 black and white pages per minute or 31ppm in color, while a 4x6-inch photo print can be produced in 18 seconds in draft mode, or 60 seconds in the best quality mode.

The maximum print resolution of the B8550 is fixed at 1200x1200 pixels. Thanks to the five-ink system that uses individual cartridges, users can replace each separately, as needed. The B8550 has 128MB of built-in memory for storing jobs.

The HP B8550 photo printer retails for around $300.
